On Monday I decided to take the kids to Monkey Joes. It is something we have been wanting to do for awhile, and I realized that school is almost out for the summer, so now was the time to go. It was perfect. We were there right when they opened and we were the only ones for at least 30 minutes. Ryan was super excited and wanted to do everything. Leah was hesitant. She didn't want to do anything at first. We watched Ryan and then she decided that she wanted to try as long as I went with her. We had tons of fun. She kept gaining confidence and said she was having so much fun. She even ended up going by herself a few times. This was HUGE for her. Just a few weeks ago she was refusing to go down slides at all, let alone giant blow up slides.
I hadn't planned on letting the kids play any games, but a very kind stranger gave us their left over tokens. The kids were so happy. I realized that I should suck it up and let them play games more often.
Such a fun morning with the kids. I realize all too often that these days are fleeting. Preschool is almost over for the year and next year Ryan will be in kindergarten. I cherish these days.

Keeping up with the times
It seems like everyone has a blog, and now we do too! Our life is exciting and people will want to read all about it, right?! I'm not sure that I will share this with many people, or anyone. It is kind of weird to think about a stranger stumbling on this, but I think it might be fun for us to look back on someday. So here goes nothing....
It has been raining. A. Lot. I have no idea how we kept ourselves occupied all winter long. We have been cooped up for 3 days now and I am already going stir crazy. The kids are handling it a little better than I am. Today they played train. They yelled all aboard a lot, and got out every single toy they had. Ryan said, "wow, we are going to have a hard time picking up tonight". They were having fun, and playing together nicely so I didn't mind. I think it is adorable when they play and use their imaginations together. I also love how they like to find containers or bags and they shove everything they can in them. I just think it is adorable.
Since we were having quesadillas for dinner tonight, I thought Leah might actually earn dessert. I was wrong. Poor little girl didn't get to eat any of the bunny cake she has been begging me to make. We even made strawberry cake for her.
